Chapter 202 Meet Dad, Again
Lee Seng's Spirit world had more colors in it this time. Reds and blues scattered around as he appeared near a lake. He took a moment to take everything in.
'This place changed a lot.' Lee Seng thought. He felt his tails flutter and looked behind him. He caught both of his tails manifested in the Spirit world. 'I guess my spirit is really my true form.' He turned his attention to the familiar oasis in front of him. Keng was standing there with arms folded, waiting.
"Ready to go?" Keng asked as Lee Seng approached. Lee Seng looked around. There wasn't anything that indicated where he was going. He looked into the water and saw the ceiling. The lights were still on.
"Where are we going?" Lee Seng asked, standing. Just as he asked that, Keng grabbed him and they both started to shimmer. His Spirit world began to turn gray and the next instance, he could feel heat pressing him from above. He raised his arm to block the sun as he looked up and noticed there were two suns in the sky.
"HOLY SHIT!" Lee Seng stumbled backwards. A hand whipped out and grabbed him.
"Don't run into anyone." Keng told him. Lee Seng focused on where Keng was. He stood next to him, still very much naked. Keng pulled him closer and gave his partner a quick stare before releasing him. "We're in front of Father. Be careful." He quietly told him.
Lee Seng looked around. Water lapped onto his bare feet. He was on sand that seemed to not soak the immense heat from the suns. The wind quietly whistled past him, giving comfort. He started to turn around when a familiar voice began to speak.
"You finally accepted my invitation, child." The Fox mask man spoke. Lee Seng turned and realized the Fox mask man sat in a white and yellow throne. Two foxes stood besides him in their fox forms. He held the cup in his hand and took a sip from it.
"I'm sorry, Father." Keng bowed on his knees. Lee Seng awkwardly followed in his Fox's footsteps and bowed. "My partner has been through a lot the past month. I'm sorry we couldn't visit you sooner." Lee Seng began to peek up but realized Keng's head was still bowed.
"Raise your head, human child. You must be really confused on why I called you here." The Fox mask man spoke. Lee Seng raised himself into a sitting position.
"D… Fa…" Lee Seng started to mumble. He could hear chuckling around him. He began to look when Keng immediately pulled his attention back to the Fox mask man.
"You don't have to call me Dad or Father. I guess I never introduced myself to you and you only know me as 'The Man in the Fox mask,' huh?" He brushed his bearded chin and shifted in his spot. "I am Dathro, God King of Foxes and Ruler of the Life Realm."
"G-God K-King Dathro…?" Lee Seng stuttered. The god king nodded.
"You've travelled to Limbo and sought out an old friend of mine and finished his quest, yes?" The god king asked.
"Y-yes, sir." Lee Seng nodded. "What does that have to do with this meeting…?"
"God King, you expect us to believe this human is different from the rest of us?" A voice spoke off to his left.
"Zixin, hold your tongue." A female voice spoke from the left. Lee Seng turned and noticed two humanoids. A male and female with six tails fluttering behind them. The male had big arms that made Lee Seng gulp. The two of them had charisma that oozed off of them. He couldn't keep his eyes away from them.
"Nabi, you're going to tell me to hold my tongue?" Zixin angrily snarled. "This foxling didn't even completely pair with his human counterpart." Nabi sighed and turned her attention to Lee Seng and Keng. Her slim figure and pale skin was the first thing he noticed. The second thing he noticed was her yellow eyes and then her white hair. The white hair was actually the thing he noticed the most. Zixin had it and Nabi had it. He tried to pull his gaze away to look at the God King, but couldn't.
"Little brother, why haven't you paired with your counterpart?" Nabi asked. Keng looked at the God King and he motioned for him to speak.
"It's not that I haven't, older sister." Keng spoke. "Rather, I can't."
"He can't!?!" Zixin roared. "Then this one was a waste of time, God King!" Zixin began to stomp and everything shook around them. God King Dathro raised his hand and Zixin immediately stopped.
"You're going to judge his majesty's decision?" Nabi turned to look at Zixin. Zixin growled and turned away from the God King. The pressure released from Lee Seng and he found himself turning to look at Keng. Keng was looking at his older siblings, too. He noticed Lee Seng was looking at him and looked at him with a small smile.
"I'm sorry, God King." Zixin apologized. He turned and bowed and his majesty simply waved and moved on.
"I guess even Zixin and Nabi notice it. Lee Seng and Keng are different. They're different from the humans I have personally contracted." God King Dathro spoke. "But do you know why I paired with this one, Zixin? Nabi?" The God King turned his head and looked at his two children. They didn't exchange glances at each other.
"Why, your majesty?" Nabi asked.
"This one is the son of Vang Chang. The one who almost captured Eshra." God King watched as Zixin and even Nabi turned to look at Lee Seng. The memories of him meeting the God King were small. He remembered bits and pieces of it because it was given to him from Keng's pact being finalized. He didn't remember the Creator being mentioned.
Zixin and Nabi vanished and immediately appeared next to Lee Seng. They grabbed him and held him up. Keng began to react but was immediately stopped by the immense pressure the six-tailed foxes gave off.
"L-l-let him go…!" Keng tried to shout. Zixin tightened his hold on Lee Seng. Lee Seng grunted in pain as Zixin's strength grew. Lee Seng found himself naturally boosting his own strength to make sure his arm wasn't snapped like a twig. Lee Seng swung his head backwards as the six-tailed foxes moved their heads to the side, dodging the strike.
"Let go!" Lee Seng shouted. Gravity ruptured off of him. The six-tailed foxes held on.
"Enough, you two." God King spoke.
"He's an enemy of the God King and his people! We can't keep him–"
"I said, enough!" The God King's voice boomed. Nabi and Zixin released him and immediately bowed.
"We're sorry, God King. Show us mercy." They both apologized. Lee Seng turned to look at the both of them as Keng grabbed him and pulled him to the side. Keng moved in front of Lee Seng as the two older foxes looked at their younger brother.
"I don't care what happened to one of our brothers! You can't do that to Lee!" Keng shouted. His tails protectively whipped around as Lee Seng tried to make sure he wasn't going to get hit by the tails. "I'll kill anyone who doesn't like him!"
"Enough." Lee Seng spoke before the God King could. He rested a hand on Keng, who turned slightly.
"B-but they were going to kill you!"
"Seems like I need to be filled in on some stuff I missed." Lee Seng spoke. He turned to face the God King. "Sir… God King, what do you mean my dad almost captured one of your own?"
"You would ask the divine one a stupid question like that?" Zixin asked.
"Calm yourself, Zixin or I will throw you into the Eighth Realm." God King spoke. Zixin gulped and lowered his head. "Let's start with your contract with me. I'll show you the contract and then I will explain what happened."
The water rose and images began to play. Lee Seng was running out of the alleyway and then bumped into the God King. He apologized and continued but the God King grabbed him.
"What do you want?" Lee Seng stuttered. "I-I got money if you want it. I-I'm just a st-student."
"I don't want your money… Your potential… it hasn't shown itself, has it?" The fox man tilted his head.
"W-what…?" Lee Seng tilted his head in confusion. The God King stepped forward and pressed Lee Seng's hand onto his chest, holding it there. Lee Seng could remember feeling a heartbeat as the scene played.
"Aren't you tired of being bullied by other Biohumans?"
"How'd you know…?"
"What if I could unlock your potential for a price?"
The scene fast forward.
"Fine, do something before they get here!" Lee Seng shouted.
Lee Seng and the others watched the scene unfold from them. The God King released Lee Seng's hand and the God King's fox tails sprouted into existence. Nine tails swirled around Lee Seng and the man. The man jumped forward and swung his fist right into Jason's chest, sending him backwards. Jae managed to exchange blows with the God King, fear growing in his eyes.
The God King spun and the fox tails slammed into Jae knocking him out cold.
"You've accepted the terms, Lee Seng Chang." The God King spoke.
"How'd you know my name?" Lee Seng asked, taking a step back. The God King moved forward.
"The contract has been made. I will unlock your potential and in return… you will become a Fox as well."
The water fell and Lee Seng shook his head.
"How does this have to do with my father?" Lee Seng asked.
"It doesn't. This is the contract start. And it wasn't until we met when the pact finished, that I felt something different about you."
