Chapter 216 No One’s Coming With You 2
216 No One’s Coming With You 2
"What? You seem surprised. I thought you ran a background check on Tang Moyu and Li Meili. You don't know?" She asked while Tang Wanyu joined the twins in the sitting area and helped them to calm down, especially her niece who'd been crying after her baby carrots.
"I did." Feng Tianyi admitted.
Of course, he did. He knew how exceptional his woman was. Her educational achievements were something to be proud of. Certificates and recognitions one after another, it was like Tang Moyu was forced to seek perfection from a young age.
"So you didn't bother to check her extracurricular activities that says she had taken martial arts lessons along with Li Meili when they were younger?" Gu Yuyao raised a single brow at him. Shouldn't he be aware by now how capable the empress was?
The only thing Tang Moyu hadn't mastered or perfected was dealing with love and relationships. She couldn't even cook a decent meal without burning it.
Perhaps, Moyu was fortunate that Feng Tianyi was a capable cook so she wouldn't have to worry about feeding her glutton little buns who could devour anything edible served to them so long it suited their taste buds.
"Yeah, I read about it, but isn't that obligatory? Even you were once taught on basic self defense." Feng Tianyi pointed out.
"Of course, but Moyu and Meili are different. Meili suggested that Moyu try jiu jitsu to release the pent up energy and frustration she felt from her demanding family and abusive mother. By doing physical training, Moyu was able to keep her mind sane, no matter how many times her family tried to test her patience. I can assure you her skill covers way more than the basics." She explained.
Back outside where they had left Tang Moyu and Li Meili, the two women obstructed Han Shaohui and his men from pursuing Tang Wanyu. Han Shaohui raised a hand, stopping his subordinates. He was curious about what the empress was up to.
"Sister Moyu, I merely came to retrieve my wife. She'd been gone for too long and I'm missing her. Why won't you return her to me? Hadn't she already troubled you enough?" He reasoned out.
Tang Moyu's right eye twitched. She didn't want to be associated with this pompous prick, who was only good at hitting his wife, anymore. Return Tang Wanyu to him? Never.
"I only allow Wan Jie to leave with you if she wants to. Too bad she already told me that she didn't want to be with you anymore. You can go back to wherever shithole you came from Han Shaohui. I won't allow you to hurt my sister anymore." Tang Moyu said, her cold eyes filled with hatred.
The smile on Han Shaohui's face instantly vanished due to the empress's insults. Indeed, she was the empress. She didn't give a fuck on what everyone thought of her, nor would she yield to anyone's demands easily.
"Don't make it hard for all of us. Return Wan Wan to me and I'll assure you, we will leave this place in peace and you would be unharmed." He told his sister-in-law, who had remained still in her place, unmoving.
"You have it wrong. No one's coming with you, Han Shaohui." The empress said in return. Li Meili stayed by her side, waiting patiently for her cue to protect Tang Moyu. "And I can't guarantee that any of you will leave this place unscathed if you dare to try and forcefully take her away." She blatantly threatened her brother-in-law.
After today, she would make sure her Wan Jie would be able to gain her freedom back from this stupid man. She would make sure that the Han family would regret messing with the people she cared about.
The tension in the air was palpable as neither Tang Moyu nor Han Shaohui wanted to give up. If these people made one wrong move to attack Moyu, Li Meili wouldn't hesitate to give them a lesson they would never forget in their lives.
Just how many brawls and fights did she and Tang Moyu have? Li Meili had already lost count. From the moment they took several training lessons for self defense up to this day, she and Li Meili had been partners in crime and always had each others' back. Today wouldn't be any different.
She might have lost her chance of witnessing the interesting circumstances Tang Moyu had with her new lover, but Li Meili found it satisfying that she had come today with Gu Yuyao. Otherwise she would have missed this sudden turn of events. 'This should be fun,' she thought,
She and Moyu hadn't fought for a while and it was time to burn some calories and release those pent up stress Moyu was accumulating for the past few weeks. It was a good thing she and Moyu weren't wearing skirts and had opted to wear slacks, which would give them enough freedom to move around.
Seeing that the empress refused to back down and give his wife back, Han Shaohui gestured for his men to make a move to subdue Tang Moyu and her companion. What could they possibly do to hurt them?
Such beautiful women pretending they could stand and oppose him? How nice. He chuckled inwardly. They overestimated themselves, Han Shaohui thought. He was done being nice. It was time to remind them of their rightful places.
Tang Moyu and Li Meili were alerted at once, noticing the sudden change in the atmosphere as Han Shaohui's people surrounded the two of them. Li Meili scoffed inwardly. Were they expecting them to surrender without a fight? Did they really think that the two of them would be intimidated?
