Chapter 50 Die Or Become Slaves
When the guards of the capitals saw the two eagles flying towards the capital, their jaws dropped. The Eagles were level 90 beasts while the guards themselves were at level 70.
The guards informed their commander about this who in turn directly went to inform the king. The commander was at level 80 and was a strong being but even he could not rival the two-level 90 eagles.
The king on the other hand was the strongest person in the entirety of Eizenburgh kingdom and could singlehandedly wipe out the eagles.
"Did you see anyone sitting on top of the eagles?' Jonathan May-Eizenburgh stood up from his throne and looked at the commander kneeling on the ground.
"The guards said that they caught glimpse of two people riding on the eagles. We directly came here to tell you about this in case they are some important people of invaders." The guard replied as the king of the Eizenburgh kingdom smiled.
"You did a great job. Maybe you should be promoted." He replied and walked out of the throne room while leaving a stunned-looking commander behind.
The king then vanished from his spot and appeared on top of the walls surrounding the capital. He could see that the two birds were still one kilometer away from the capital but he immediately recognized the two people riding the eagles.
"These kids are going to be trouble…" Jonathan muttered with a sigh as he spread the order to not bother the duo.
After all, Zack and Emma were people who the king definitely didn't want as his enemies. But now looking at them, he couldn't help but think that they might be the ones who would help him and his kingdom.
Or maybe, they would be the ones who would help every single person living in the world of Hestia.

"Land there," Zack said while pointing towards the top of the guild where a special platform was visible for the eagles to land.
After landing, the duo jumped off the backs of the eagles and started making their way down towards the guild.
"You guys can stay in the beast dormitories over there and go anywhere you want. But when I call you both, you will have to come back." The white-haired boy announced as the eagle with brown feathers looked confused.
'But we don't have any names. You are not going to shout Scam eagles, are you?' He asked with a doubtful expression as the teenager smiled.
"Your names will be Daedalus and Icarus." He finished and walked towards the door which would lead him to the circular room.
The two newly named eagles exchanged a glance before they decided to check the beast dormitories their new master had mentioned.
'Damn…' Icarus's beak dropped when he saw the new place he and his brother would be living in. There were two royal red couches specially made for beasts lying on the floor.
Every type of food that the two eagles liked was present on a table beside the couches while a window for enjoying the view was present in the room.
'This is heaven brother!' Daedalus exclaimed as it rose above the floor and swiftly landed on the couch.
The soft cushioning made him feel relaxed while he eyed the food on the table. His brother flew towards the table and used his talons to pass the food to Daedalus while picking a few things for himself.
The two birds then ate until their stomach was completely full before yawning and passing out on the couches.

"Are you sure that it's ok to leave them there?" Emma asked as the duo were now back inside the circular room.
"Don't worry," Zack reassured her. "Every single room in the beast dormitories will automatically reshape itself to suit the beast living inside it. Their favorite food and other stuff would automatically be generated there while using a small proportion of mana generated by the people in the guild."
"You are using the prisoners' mana, aren't you?" The pink-haired woman asked with narrowed eyes as Zack grinned.
"At least they are being used for something good this way." He replied before they walked to the door on the top left.
A new option called 'prison' was added to the list that appeared in front of them. After choosing the prison option, Zack turned the doorknob and opened the door.
Underground stairs were made visible to the duo as Zack summoned a small amount of fire on his index finger. But to his surprise, the fire was blue in color.
'Looks like I can no longer use normal fire.' He thought with a surprised look before he started walking down the stairs.
Emma followed him with a bored expression since climbing stairs was one of the most boring things for her.
After walking down the stairs for a few minutes, the duo appeared in a hallway with huge cells on either side. Inside the first cell were the 69 people that had surrendered during the war.
Some of them had logged out and their characters were now lifeless in front of the duo.
But when the people who were awake saw the duo, they immediately sent messages to their teammates who came online again. All of the trapped prisoners were known online and they were looking at the group with wide eyes.
"What are you going to do us now?" One of them asked as the white-haired boy smiled.
"You can either die or become the slaves of this guild. You'll be forced to work as laborers here and will have to obey everything we say. So, what will it be?" Zack asked as the prisoners started thinking.
"I'll become a slave!" In less than a minute, one of them spoke up.
The white-haired boy called the person out and asked him to stand on his right. After that, more and more people started choosing the option to become a slave until the 34th person.
"I chose to die." He said in a grim voice and walked out of the prison to stand on Zack and Emma's right side.
The two players remained emotionless as everything proceeded. Out of 69 players, 3 players chose to die while 66 chose to become slaves.
"WolfHeart, are you going to do it or should I do it?" Zack asked as the pink-haired woman nodded.
"I will do it."
The players standing on the left thought that she was talking about them but the Emma turned towards the right side and raised her right hand.
"Dark pulse." A spiral black-colored beam shot out of Emma's palm and hit the 66 people at once. But instead of pushing them back, the dark pulse vanished.
The players however looked terrified as they had seen their leader use the same move many times and they knew what would happen then.
Their health points suddenly started to go down before all of a sudden, their bodies exploded into dust. Numerous notifications appeared in front of the pink-haired woman as looked at the dust with an interested expression.
"So that's what the skill description meant. They would be killed later on." She muttered with a smile before looking at the skill's description once again.
[ Dark Pulse: A spiral black-colored beam shoots out from the user's palm. The beam is absorbed by the opponent and may result in either of the two things with a slight delay.
- If the person has a lower level than the user, the beam will make them explode into dust.
- If they have a higher level than the user, they will still receive damage and might get inflicted with a random curse.
- Will only affect a person once in 24 hours. Using the skill again before the time is over will result in 0 damage dealt.
Cooldown: 2 hours ]
Dark pulse was a really unfair move that would give a person a slight advantage over their opponents regardless of their level.
Though the duration of the curse inflicted and the damage dealt depended on the level gap between the two users and the person the skill was being used on.
"Why did you kill them?" The first person to choose the death option asked as he and the other two guys looked surprised.
"It was because they were useless people who tried to save their skin the first chance they got," Emma replied before turning to look at Zack.
"You guys on the other hand have proved that you deserve something better." He replied with a serious expression as the three players gulped in anticipation.
What would the number one player offer to them?
