Chapter 271: Fashion Show
Chapter 271: Fashion Show
The round had ended with an awkward situation between Ed and Alexei. They were both looking at each other as the hosts talked about the summary of the events that happened just now.
"Listen" Alexei trailed off, breathing deeply and gathering as much courage as he could. "What I did was really embarrassing and it was really I am so sorry."
"It doesn't bother me at all," Ed smiled. "I am frequent at brothels, but I would never steal wives from husbands. That's not my thing."
"And now for the tally of points," Zia announced. She raised her hand and showed the screen where the guild names were.
[
Azure Scorch Guild - 10 points
Circus Carnival Guild - 8 points
Cosmic Arch Guild - 7 points

"The Azure Scorch Guild has the lead in this round," Irv noted. "Edward was the first to figure out how the target worked and he finished them all with his final attack."
"I think that our underdog is off to a good start, Irv," Zia said. "If they continue this progress, they may be able to get into Top 3, don't you think so?"
"Well, I do think you're right there, Zia," Irv nodded repeatedly. "They are currently consistent in the top, and if they can pull off more of these, then they might even win."
"Edward!" a busty woman with a curly blonde hair jumped from the crowd.
"C-Chinny?" Alexei gasped, looking at the woman as she cheered for Ed. "Edward Peck! I love you! I will come back to Alorde soon."
Alexei's jaw fell to the floor. He scoffed and watched Ed with a smirk that was instantly wiped off from his face.
"S-She told me her name was Jillian," Ed scrunched his face. "I-I'm sorry?"
"I'll kill you!"
With a black eye, Ed went back to their seat. His teammates had a smug look on their faces with Aquarius refusing to heal him.
"How come he was calmed down for a moment?" Connor asked. "For a moment, you two became close or something. You talked."
"His wife has an accent," Ed sighed. "She calls me Edward Peck, which could've saved me if she didn't came down to the bleachers and called me, waving her hands and letting her jugs bounce like that."
"Stop going into those kind of establishments already," Elliot grunted. "Now you finally faced the consequences of going there. Those are for lonely sick old men who have nowhere else to go to release their urges."
"I am a lonely sick old man who have nowhere to go to release my urges," Ed deadpanned. "It's hard for me to get a girlfriend."
"Stop trying and just let it flow," Elliot said. "Just let the things come together and you just lay there and watch things unfold."
"Easy for you to say," Connor rolled his eyes. "Women find you cute, but hot. Gentle but sexy. They like you because you're a walking contradiction."
"Hope would be a walking contradiction too," Ed flattened his lips and watched their younger friend. "Tall but gentle, large but soft. But then he says things that women would just find absolutely horrendous."
"Let's just listen to the hosts. The third round is coming up," Elliot sighed.
The two hosts did indeed hovered over to the middle of the open field. Irv cleared his throat and spoke, "Hello again everyone. The battleground was cleared and now for the third round of this year's Battle of the Champions."
The two floated away and revealed ten large thin platforms that intersected into one. In the middle was a circle while the ten platforms branched out of the circle, leading to a smaller circle on the tip.
"I think I know what this is," Midnight whispered.
Irv raised his hand and smirked, "And now for the Champions."

"It's Midnight," Elliot whispered. He was surprised that Midnight looked like he knew that he was going to be chosen.
He walked down the stairs and into the field where the other contestants were.
"For this round, everyone in here has the ability to morph," Zia said. "For this round, you are going to morph your clothes and show them off like a fashion show."
"Can Midnight do that?" Elliot gasped. "I mean, he could turn into a large monster that could take down dragons, but can he morph just his clothes?"
"Midnight can handle this," Aquarius said. "Just watch him."
The Champions were made to stand on the smaller circles at the end of the thin platforms. They stood there while the two hosts hovered above them, waiting for everyone to settle down.
"This round will be the most interesting one," Zia said. "This round will show how well the Adventurers are in terms of fashion. They often call us barbarians, but forgets that a lot of fashion icons are Adventurers."
"That is right, Zia," Irv sighed. "They keep forgetting that Adventurers have to be stylish and not just present ourselves out there with our outfits for functionality, but also for expression."
"This round is one of the three rounds that the judges handpicked the Champions themselves," Zia said. "This round requires a certain skill that these ten Champions we have here have. The ability to morph."
"We will have three stages for this round, three themes and each round we will eliminate three Champions," Irv said. "The pointing system will be based on how much the crowd is cheering for a Champion."
Zia hovered over ten large glass jars. "These special jars would measure how much cheer the crowd has given a specific Champion. Each jar represents a Champion and the one with the most cheers, win.
Irv nodded, "Now, stage one will start in three"
"Two"
"One"
"Start!"
[ Theme: Battle ]
"For the first stage, you shall morph into your best suited clothes when you are in the middle of the battle," Zia instructed. "Once the time ends, your platform will light up and you shall walk into the center. You will show off your clothes for ten seconds before you return to your station."
Midnight sighed and looked at himself. He didn't usually change into a battle outfit since he lets his darkness swallow him up and protect him instead. Looking around, he saw that the other Champions were morphing into armors.
"Okay then," Midnight sighed and raised his hands. He let his hands flow into his body, letting the shadows coat him with its darkness. "Black Morph: Abyssal Guardian."
Midnight flicked his wrists and the darkness vanished. He ran his hand through his hair and let the darkness vanish from the tip of his arms, flowing away like it was afraid.
Midnight's dress was now replaced with a fitted male armor. His chest plate had a lion with its mouth open, the mane of the lion trailed to his shoulder pads that had a black fabric running through his arm and meets with a pair of bracelet on his wrists.
Midnight wore a pair of black pants and black boots that both had black shiny gems on them. The boots had metal heels that had bracelet-like rings on the ankles. On his back were three slim capes that trailed off to his leg.
The crowd went wild after seeing Midnight. He had a different look than he usually does, and for those who didn't know his true sex, they were cheering for him. They were cheering for what they thought was a beautiful woman, suddenly looking like a man.
Midnight smirked as his platform lit up, the man raising his head as he walked on the platform. His pitch black hair flowed behind him beautifully, bouncing off as he walked on the platform and turning on the big circle.
"Midnight Cosmo of Azure Scorch Guild, everybody!"
