Read more I received my test results, where two words stuck out in devastating clarity.[No Talent]It was something I’d already known, but it stung a little more than usual today. Was I lacking in effort or talent? Or both? Was it my fault that I was living like this, or was it society’s?In the years since Players, Streamers, Guardians, dungeons, and monsters became a part of our everyday life, my sister died from leukemia trying to support me, and my mom passed away from a disease we couldn’t afford to treat.I went to sleep, and when I woke up the next morning to continue my futile life, I found… that I had somehow gone 10 years back in the past, to the day the world changed. While going through the Tutorial, I realized something.Everything’s too easy. Was I really talentless? Collapse Angels, Beautiful Female Lead, Calm Protagonist, Dungeons, Eye Powers, Game Elements, Genius Protagonist, Hidden Abilities, Hiding True Abilities, Level System, Male Protagonist, Modern Day, Monsters, Orcs, Second Chance, Sword And Magic, Weak to Strong I just came back to look at this to see if there was an update but there unsurprisingly hasn’t. If I remember correctly this is apart of the bunch novels reaper scans (trusting ranobes for the right name) dropped due to a legal issue. Disappointing as this novel is one of the few I remember well, even a while after it stopped updating. The plot is good and it is your standard “modern day with fantasy monster portals” and “regression” story. Key parts to understand are:1. The Mc is NOT a murder hobo He thinks through his plans and tries to avoid messing up the future to maximise his knowledge of modern history (which he has because he was a civil servant in his first “life”)2. The Mc does have a moral compass (kinda)So no he will not burn down the orphanage for momentary power but won’t risk his life to save a few random people.3. The class is what makes this novel… well novel. The idea of his class isn’t a variation of “dark edgelord supreme” class or just an absolutely broken (still kinda broken) one but something that SUITS his character/situation (read 1. For my general idea of it) 4. The constellation/deity streaming systemA rather common choice completing the portal apocalypse, regressor and system trifecta. I think there was a similar idea in the “omniscient reader viewpoint” (a must read) but this a common setup. It is a basic story, and there aren’t many chapters but I liked it. That maybe it’s just because it’s one of the novels that I read when I started reading here. I felt its concept, system and plot was at least above average and was cut too short for what it deserved. I would give it a 7/10 overall and would recommend. It was pretty good actually…3.5/5 even but they f-ed up the whole story line…made mc some Spoiler observer shit which type of plot i hate so im dropping and giving it a rating of 1/5 Omniscient reader point of view written by a 14 years old.Quite good, but a bit too much on the : "I'm a genius that knows better than everyone without trying". If you can pass that it's a good read. Pura basura 👎 После 65 можно дропать I had so much anticipation for his class, but the author brought it all down. The only thing that I’m satisfied with this novel is that the language is somewhat smooth, unlike some Korean novels whose translations come out to be excessively polite and be like half finished sentences while with a great story/plot. Its a good novel, good not extraordinary or shit, only good. Yeah the Mc doesnt get a "overpowered damage dealer/tanker or ehat you normaly expect" something that he really not need that bad. Spoilerhe get a observer class, what its that dog shit? Its basically a leader oriented class where he can use more profound his eye ability and intuition, that get a better spike in power in latter stages, why? Because he can learn more combat abilities, deduction capacities of the enemy and the way they handle energy. Only that he acquired the disadvantage that he doesnt gain exp, coins, items if he play alone. He depend in hia teammates that he guide in combat to obtain that but that doesnt mean he cant battle normaly. The rest its only between average and good, like characters, world building, battles. Dropped the moment he got his class. Ruins any expectation I had for this story. He has all this build up and descriptions of how combat feels natual to him and how hes a combat genius and he knows all of the things that will happen and where he can get the best stuff. And then his class directly makes all that pointless.Spoiler[Detailed Explanation]The Observer must maintain the ‘position of an observer’. He cannot take advantage of his future knowledge to go and secretly get items on his own. And god forbid there is a solo dungeon in the future. He will do it and get nothing! And all he can say about the class is oh it kinda fits me. No it doesnt, your class is trash and your advantages are gone. Without finishing your comment i can already tell it's a massive waste of space to consider putting such thing the in the story and a ridiculous idea to think such class was even thought of. How did the author really use his/her brain regarding the story. I read the first chapter but i bumped out bc I was stunned by the first chapter bc of it Thank you for saving my time. I can't imagine a player/hunter who can't acquire money, XP or items from hunting just because of his class. Might as well become a desk worker 😂 It's not as big a deal as you make it out to be. He has been developing his own team/guild from the start. Thanks to all his EXP boosts before and including this class, he actually gets more EXP than he would normally if he fought in a party. The threshold for it to trigger the 0EXP/Rewards for him is if he contributes 50% or more to the fight. There have been some times (maybe 2 or 3) where he's had to fight solo which meant that he didn't earn anything, but for the most part he always has people/party members who, through his instructions, can ensure that everything works out and end up with a better result than if he was contributing to the fights as well.He still strengthens himself and doesn't let his combat side go away/become weaker. The current downside is one that he has already theorised will be reduced or even dissapear altogether when he upgrades the class. And even if that isn't the case Spoilerhe gets a consumable which, among other things, could be used to remove the restrictions entirely. He hasn't done so yet, since he isn't suffering/losing out at all from them, but at any time he can choose to get rid of them. so who are in his team? Can you tell me about them? Are they in themselves interesting enough to carry some of the story or are they just cookie cutter characters just there to praise the mc for doing anything? Since he is a regressor, he has knowledge of all the important players in the future, so the vast majority of his choices when it comes to connections is based on that. That includes the majority of his guild mates too. They, mostly, were famous players in the original timeline. He just befriended them and tied them to him and each other this time around. They aren't just all revolving around MC - they go off and grind on their own quite a lot and have their own friendships and rivalries between themselves. The most important ones, in terms of those who are around/with him the most are SpoilerHis adopted sister, who is the first teammate he makes and is one who he has no prior knowledge about since she likely died early in the original timeline. His Sword, who has the spirit of some ancient/otherworldly (cant remember exactly) woman in it, who refers to him as her sword bride.Idk if I'd consider them strong enough to carry the story or not, since they never need to. It's always the MC who is acting as sovereign and directing + buffing them. They are all interesting to read. They, as well as quite a few other characters, do praise the MC a lot though, so you might not like that. It isn't blind praise all the time, but they're very clear about preferring to party with MC vs others, due to the buffs and his direction. That isn't to say the MC doesn't fight directly too. He fights a ton as well, and SpoilerMC already has a means to remove the EXP restriction if he wants. He already has confirmed that his class will evolve to allow him to fight without any penalties as well. Ok thanks for the replay. I wonder who likes the protagonist full depends on people LOL I love lone wolf or mc with team but not like this novel "must party" kind 🤮Trash, Thank you for the info👍*fly away Much worse than average.1) The writing style is terrible. I don't know how best to describe it, but it was very uncomfortable for me to read. And I read Google translations of Chinese sites.2) The world is completely unrevealed. This may be due to the fact that there are few chapters, but still there.3) The combat component - leaves much to be desired. The battles are described very chaotically and not clearly.4) MC is primitive and doesn't stand out in any way. This is the good old regressor, with a bunch of skills, luck, gifts and other things like that. He is not somehow charismatic or smart, as usual in everything that is not related to leveling he is dumb.5) The plot itself is also quite secondary. All this has already been, and often even in such quantities.I can't say that the novella is rubbish. Until a certain moment I read, albeit without much enthusiasm, but with some interest. But I don't like that the author makes a kind of intriguing observer out of MC. It's boring.Probably the main role in the fact that I throw the work was played by an indistinct style of description. After reading hundreds of novels, reading a novel from a beginner, with a secondary plot and faded characters, no longer pulls. I kinda feel the tag Weak To Strong is pretty misleading here. Its kind of like if a soldier with experience, and knowledge to 'get strong' in one of these novels vs an apocalypse noob trying to get strong with no info or help.
