Chapter 152: Entering the Game Again

Chapter 152: Entering the Game Again

He knew she was playing him and he decided to play her as well. "The fourth sister is perfect," he replied before adding, "didn't know you have such beauty."

"Watch out," she winked in a mischievous way, "many are watching and you are already a taken man."

"Not yet," he laughed.

"What you did back there told me you want her badly, or you like others want her wealth?"

He knew she was testing him, and he wasn't even worried about anything here. He returned to glance over the scenery while saying:

"I don't care about those worldly matters; I only care about her."

"Liar," she paused for a long minute there before giggling. "You can't be serious, everyone is tempted with money and wealth."

"I only care about the game," he said before adding, "and her."

"Lucky her," she commented, continuing to play her little game. "What did you want me for then? You already have your gaze upon a girl."

"One might not be enough," he said in a playful tone.

"Wow, a womanizer then," she laughed before adding, "didn't think you were one."

"Who said I'm?" he laughed shortly before adding, "I'm just not able to let a gem like you slip by."

"A womanizer indeed, hehehe."

He didn't comment and let her continue her amusing game with him.

"Still didn't tell me what all this flatter is for."

"Nothing in particular," he shrugged before turning his head to her, "just want to hire your studio to work for me."

"Wow, you surely have great appetite," she laughed, enjoying the offer he just made. "What benefit will I gain from this?"

"Anything you want, just name it and you'll have it."

"I want to know your game ID then," she said in a serious tone. "You scored such a legendary one back there; you must be someone important."

"A big shot," he laughed, "consider me a big whale."

"I'm already with a whale," she chuckled, "why join other then?"

"Just for more fun," he simply answered.

"So you are one of those big names out there. Who are you exactly? Ricardo? Regredo? Tonsole? Or perhaps that mysterious new rising star?"

She tried to guess his ID yet he didn't glance directly at her. She wasn't someone to be easily fooled, and he had to make sure his ID would stay hidden as long as he could.

"In time you'll know," he simply said.

"None of those? Or one of them and acting ignorant?"

"Just in time, don't be impatient," he said.

"C'mon, I'm a girl. Girls are impatient," she laughed shortly with her hand over her mouth. "Tell me and I might consider it."

"Join me and you'll know it."

"Tsk, men are always arrogant!" she sighed, as if she was disappointed in him.

"that's in our genes," he laughed, "how can we change our genes? At least I'm true to myself and not boot licker like some," he added.

"True," she said, "but I can't see a benefit for me here."

"Let's say I'm looking for those I can trust my life with," he said before adding, "and in return I expect the same."

"Not enough," she said despite her tone said the opposite.

"I just told you, name it and you'll get it."

"I just said my request," she stubbornly said.

"Then we have to wait until you join me."

"Tsk," she seemed annoyed as she turned to leave, yet he didn't stop her.

"Won't you try to persuade me more?" she suddenly paused as she asked. She thought he would hurry to say something to stop her; yet he didn't.

"What about dinner?" he laughed as he said in such a playful tone.

"Forget it," she moved, and this time she was serious to move far away from him.

He turned his head and watched her bare back appearing from the big emptiness in that black glittering dress of hers. "You are already interested, so why should I raise the stakes? Hehehe," he muttered to himself before turning to look for Dockrey.

Yet in this nice evening and many dancing partners everywhere; Dockrey was nowhere to be found. "Such a sore impulsive kid; I bet he will try his best to reach my ID," he shook his head before adding, "hopefully Antoan had acted faster."

He checked again and his loyal butler was nowhere to be seen as well. He didn't worry a lot about this; after all what Dockrey did here attracted enmity from the board to him.

The night passed fast and after one hour Antoan appeared all of sudden beside him. "It's done," he simply said and Bloom didn't ask for details.

"That one is absent," Bloom said.

"He is trying to uncover your true ID," Antoan laughed before adding, "let him try and feel the despair, hehehe."

"What about the two girls?" Bloom asked with a wide smile.

"They already left."

"Already?" Bloom turned to glance over the crowd to see no trail of the two girls. "Alright, we shall return as well."

"Won't you greet your supporters? The board?"

"No," Bloom shook his head, "these things shall be handled later by you."

"Alright," Antoan moved and Bloom walked behind him. The scenery of him leaving attracted the attention of everyone, yet he didn't stop to speak with any.

As he returned to the game, Bloom knew Nat would search for him at once. Yet he didn't mind that, after all he knew she suspected him as one of the candidates she named to him.

"Finally you are back," the moment he appeared the NPC said.

"What happened?" he asked.

"Nothing, but it's boring here," the NPC said before pointing towards the next forest, "your pets had already cleared this area and now they are heading for the next one."

Bloom checked his long series of notifications to find what the NPC said was true. Thousands of monsters were killed already, and he didn't hear any nearby fighting noises coming from the forest.
