The Mysterious Black Magician

Another minute of the clock had ticked. But at the moment, only one silhouette had remained standing in the clearing of the forest where large pits and destroyed trees were the only evidence of the fight that had happened.

Rea and Cinde were staring at him with uniform expressions.

Another notification appeared before him. But they noticed that he wasn't even lifting his hand.

He was just standing in the clearing in the middle of the forest. With eyes opened and was staring down.

When he failed to select the <Proceed> choices, the countdown started to count.

Cinde and Rea wondered what happened to Crimson.

As the time reached zero, his body turned to light particles and materialized outside the door. And the room inside the training area turned to normal.

For some reason, Rea was the first to arrive beside him. 

Cinde also rushed over, followed closely to her.

They noticed his Deity flying beside his face, seemingly peeking on him with puzzled expressions.

"What happened, Miss Deity?" 

"What happened, Sistela?"

Rea and Cinde simultaneously asked Sistela when they neared them.

<I don't know but… my partner fell asleep… I think.> Sistela replied.

"Eh!!"

"....."

The two were surprised about what they heard.

They decided to let him sleep on the bench where they were watching him behind the window glass.

Outside, the people were anxiously waiting for all the dummy fighting training rooms. Their curiosity towards The Mysterious could not settle them.

Among all the rooms only one room remains in use. And weirdly, it was already a couple of hours that had passed yet the room was still in use. And no more notifications after the last announcement when The Mysterious killed the first boss.

Maybe he gave up already and left the room. He was probably one of those guys who exited earlier in one of the dummy-fighting rooms. Maybe he was shocked to see so many people asking about him and decided to keep it a secret. After all, what he did could earn enmity from the previous rank 1. Maybe he was afraid. It looks like, The Mysterious wasn't that cool. Probably, he only got lucky for arriving at the boss stage in the fastest time.

Most of the people find it weird that one of the rooms was still in use, but only a few of them think that it was The Mysterious. Since it was already long since the last notification about killing the boss.

Everyone was in hype upon hearing it.

Not only the mysterious person took the fastest to arrive at the first boss but also killed the first boss at the fastest time.

With this achievement alone, he can be the new king of speed no doubt.

People already left the lobby one after another.

Still holding in their minds the curiosity about the person known as The Mysterious.

Killing the first boss wasn't a big achievement at all. As many students could do it. But killing it in the fastest time was a different issue.

Yman woke up by the sound coming from around him. It was the sound of happy conversation from the three familiar voices. One of them was of course from his noisy Deity.

He was surprised to find himself sleeping on the bench, surrounded by the three. Looks like his exhaustion got the better of him.

No, it was because his strength and magical energy were weakened inside this campus. Looks like his body still was not used to the change that this campus gave him.

And that earlier battle drained him for good. Yman was so surprised. It was the first time he fell asleep in the battle.

He noticed the three staring at him with curious faces.

"Goodmorning, Mr. Crimson," Cinde was the first to greet him in a joking manner.

He scratched his head, "Haha, shall we go?" Yman laughed and asked them to go. Then it was followed by the rumbling of his stomach.

When they left the room, only a few people were there. Since they had to pass the lobby before passing the exit, they gathered curious stares from the people who stayed and did not leave yet.

Their whispers even reached their ears.

They were saying that it was Miss Ella.

"Maybe she had a personal meeting with those people. Sometimes they would rent one of the rooms here for their meeting together with the student council president and her highness Princess Liya."

"But those two with her right now, they are not the president and the princess. And it's the first time I see their faces around here."

"Hm….. yeah me too."

"Do you think it is suspicious?"

People were conversing in an unrestricted volume but the group didn't mind it. They proceeded to the exit.

When night came,

Yman was staying in the same Inn as Ella. Their rooms were just opposite each other. He needed to stay close to her every time.

Cinde on the other hand was in a different Inn.

In Yman's room, he let his back fall on the soft bedsheet. He was lying in a 'T' form. Stretching his arms to both sides.

They were allowed to exit the academy and go home, but Rea was taking into account his situation.

Although there was no need for her to do it since being exhausted also means he was at his peak. He could activate his Black Miasma if ever a situation calls it. Then again, Rea didn't know this side of him.

Yman sighed once again. He barely survived wave 9 of stage two. He didn't even reach the second boss. But he gained a good amount of CE. So it was fine. And the reason why he failed to advance further than wave 9 was because of some significance.

He fought without using his Time Modifying ability and only with his bare strength.

So the result was doable.

Aside from that, he was surprised to learn that the announcement about giving him some benefits turned out to be a legit one. His initial thought about it was only a gimmick to motivate the trainees. 

Sistela was currently in hibernation mode beside him.

Before he went asleep, he decided to take advantage of his exhaustion. He needed to create new reserves to Enhance Fire Dolls.
