The Mysterious Black Magician

After winning the 4th match, his Ranker level was promoted to Level 3.

The good thing about defeating a high-level opponent was that, when you won, you got to loot their high-tier items and used them for your own.

Weirdly though, he received numerous Ranker points. Also, he received lots of notifications, stating that Ranker X's sent a gift to his account. The gift they sent to him was the Ranker Points, each with different amounts.

He guessed that the more he defeated his opponents in a good performance, the more people would send him gifts.

And the more gifts he received the faster he could gather enough points.

Yman chuckled and found exciting traction. He just needed to perform well and people would give him gifts without the need of asking them.

He also concluded that it was pleasing to the audiences to watch a low-level newbie Ranker beating a higher level Ranker.

Yman could only put a wry smile on his face. He had so many things he needed to consider though, especially the demon's mana.

Although the demon's mana was thinning inside him, he needed to not restrict himself from using it if he wanted to win every match.

Inside the Virtual Arena, he could only depend on that demon's mana.

While scrutinizing the list of available opponents, Yman found the name Special Girl once again, and it looked like that girl had won consecutively as well.

Well, his loss with her wasn't counted as a total loss. It was just unfortunate that his 5d-Seer was emptied before he delivered the finishing blow.

Once again, he chose a Ranker with a higher level as an opponent.

The battle lasted for half an hour because the enemy was very careful. The battlefield was inside an abandoned old-style building. Yman had to be extra careful because of many conventional traps that were laying all over.

He could not sense them because it wasn't made of magical energy. Many times he had to use his Time Warp to dodge them at hair's breadths.

On the contrary, his enemy was able to maneuver unhindered by the traps. It was a raccoon man with a lithe figure. He could sense traps. So, it's easy for him to mobilize inside.

The enemy tried to ambush him in one of the rooms. However, instead of going for an ambush, the whole room was blasted by mini fireballs.

The enemy tried to escape; unfortunately, the fortified stones came raining onto him.

More audiences had started to have good impressions of him, and more gifts kept coming to his account.

He also gained popularity, little by little. He also noticed his Charisma was increasing constantly.

Just right after he defeated the 5th opponent, his soul battery had emptied.

After logging out from the Virtual Arena, he saw Sistela resting on his chest. He got up off the bed and lifted her into his shoulder.

Outside the window, the atmosphere was still the same, but he could feel something not ordinary in the direction of the mountain.

Yman then got up on his feet. Then, he decided to eat first. After a good meal, he quickly planned his next move.

Using his mount Fire Doll, he proceeded to fly towards the mountain, once again. He needed to get a sample of the miasma.

Before he left, he saw the sun shone at a 2 o'clock angle, but when he arrived at the mountain area, the sun couldn't be seen. It was hidden under the cover of the miasma that proliferated all over the mountain.

Aside from that, his advance was hindered by different kinds of mutated monsters.

<Partner, the situation had turned much worse than we imagined!> Sistela asserted.

As far as his eyes could see, the place turned so different from yesterday. When he arrived at the foot of the mountain, it seemed as though the whole mountain was floating in the sea of purplish miasma.

Constant howls from the distance could even reach his ears even though he was currently flying on his mount Enhance Fire Doll, about 30 meters above the ground.

"This is bad. If this kept going on like this, the whole campus would be in danger." He said his assessment of the current situation.

He wondered if Rea had finished her preparation. But before that, he had to finish his reason for coming.

KYAW!

Something leaped from the woods and directly blocked his way. Looking at their figures, it seemed as though they were newly evolved beasts.

They were bird type beasts that were supposedly non-hostile towards people. However, after inhaling the miasma, they became hostile and aggressive. He noticed the name Ghastly Bird above their heads. 

He had to fight some of them. He scattered his few bird Enhanced Fire Dolls and Bat Enhanced Fire Dolls. Also, he coagulated the Galaxial Bomb.

The good thing about his Galaxial Bomb was that it won't dissipate right away. At most, it would remain active for five minutes. It was a good spell to guard him.

After getting out of his storage, his Enhanced Fire Dolls fired fireballs at the Ghastly Birds. 

The Ghastly Birds flapped their wings and fired a purplish gust. His Enhanced Fire Dolls scattered away to evade. While they were evading, they fired nonstop at the enemies.

Continued explosions rang in the air. Because of their numbers, the Enhanced Fire Dolls were able to kill the Ghastly Birds.

Seeing the falling charred body of the beasts, Yman summoned a weird-looking bird.

No! It wasn't a bird! It was a Big Beak Worm! It was better calling it Enhance Fire Doll Big Beak Worm. Although it was bigger than the original, the figure resembled the original.

However, what was the purpose of this new model of Fire Doll?

After getting out from his storage, the Enhanced Fire Doll Big Beak Worm chased towards the falling charred bodies of the Ghastly Birds.

It flew hastily and used its beak to swallow the charred bodies of the falling beasts.

This new model of Fire Doll was tasked to collect the fallen monsters, to loot them later on. 

It was his Collector!
