Chapter 262 - The Excitement Of Exploring
"I see, so the empress herself told you that."
"Yes, aunt," Rea nodded to Laura.
"If that's the case then you should do what she told you to do," said Laura as lent her back to the chair.
"Mhm."
"Oh, by the Crimson, since you will be going to that city, please hand this parchment to the barrack's head," Laura took a piece of paper from the closet then handed it to him.
"Okay, headmaster—"
"Isn't it supposed to be "okay, mother"? Fufu," Laura teased him. "Ahaha," Yman laughed wryly at the headmaster's joke.
"By the way, headmaster, what is this?" He asked out of curiosity while pointing at the parchment in his hand..
"Ah, it's a proposal."
"Proposal?"
"A co-op proposal."
Yman was surprised when he heard her. "I see," he said.
"Regardless, Good luck with your journey to both of you, don't forget to contact me, Merea," Laura said then reached and caressed Rea's face. She replied with a nod and a warm smile.
"Thanks, headmaster!", "Okay, Aunt!"
They replied at the same time.
Wetwew!
KYAAAHHH!!!
After a whistle, a large figure landed in front of the adventurer's guildhall in which two youngsters were standing outside.
Yman glanced around him. Absorbing all the memories he had in the empire, from the first time that he came here and until now. He met many people and did many things. It was a fun adventure, and he also learned many things.
<Partner, we can finally meet Sister Yana!> Sistela who was sitting on his shoulder said.
"Fufu, are you excited?" Said Yman as he caressed Sistela's hair.
<Of course!>
Rea beside him glanced at the two. "Uhm, who is Yana?" She did it. She asked him. He glanced at her and told her that she was his younger sister. Rea secretly sighed in relief upon hearing him.
The giant Hell Chaser Bird hovered and flew towards the northwest.
Laura was looking through the window at the figure of the huge bird going smaller. Another second passed, the figure of the bird disappeared from her eyes.
Then the door of the adventurer's guild was pushed open.
"I'm back, headmaster!"
"Welcome back. By the way, I'll be counting on you once again," Laura said as she pushed the enveloped towards the other person.
"Sureness!"
After taking the envelope, "then, I will take my leave once again."
"Fufufu, good luck."
"Aye, aye!" Then the person's figure disappeared into thin air.
Laura sighed then darted her gaze to the paperwork in front of her. She took a pen and spun it on her fingers before she started scribbling in the paper.
Since it was already sunset when Yman and Rea left the Encantasia Empire, it was already dark when they arrived near the Silent River. It was the same river where they took a detour when Yman and the other fledgling trainees first time traveled towards Human City Zone 7.
He took camping materials from his Cyber Storage and built two tents beside each other. In front of it, Rea dropped some dry branches.
"Is this enough?" She asked him.
"Yeah, thanks."
The two spider enhanced fire dolls beside her, started arranging the dry branches. After it, the bat enhanced fire dolls shot flame at the branches and immediately caused a fire. Thus the bonfire flickered and sent warmth around it.
Then the bird enhanced fire doll arrived with a kettle between its beaks. It came from the river and fetched water.
Two noble rat enhanced fire dolls were standing guard.
While enhanced scout bees were scouting the perimeter, the enhanced scout birds were scouting in a wider area from up above the sky.
Seeing the odd animals and insects working harmoniously, Rea could only let a dry laugh.
This guy surely made convenient laborers in the form of spells. "Ah, how I wished to make some of them. Unfortunately, my magic wasn't suitable for it." She could only use space and illusion-type magic. Rea sighed and found herself on a bench in the form of a tree trunk. It was carried here by a dino enhanced fire doll. Right, Rea remembered Cinde once created something like these creatures.
Cinde succeeded in creating, but it took an abundance of time before he created one butterfly fire doll. This spell was only suitable for people with strong fire elements.
"Crimson could possibly build a community with these creatures," Rea mumbled.
The reason Yman decided to take a detour was that it wasn't safe to travel at night. It could easily attract hostile creatures, especially nocturnal creatures.
Around this time, in the Human City Zone 7, everyone was busy.
The city was livelier than before. And even if it was already night, the street was packed with people going towards each destination. Most of them were moving towards the West District, to where the dungeon was located.
Many people were attracted to the dungeon. Although there were artificial training facilities such as the Training Pavilion and Virtual Arena in Encantasia Academy, it was still different when you fought for real inside the dungeon.
The excitement of adventuring inside it was more fun. Especially for those people who love live combat. They could not feel the chill and blood boiling in the modern virtual facilities.
Whereas in the dungeon, although it was dangerous, the adventures were real, and the achievements were worth mentioning.
Whenever night came, everyone, together with their friends, allies, or party members would occasionally come and enjoy the cheap, yet luxurious dine and liquor in the taverns. Together with their friends, the bragging about their adventures could not be stopped with just a single speech. It would repeat and repeat especially when the spirit of liquor took over each one's consciousness. But that's how it made the adventure inside the dungeon worthwhile.
Because of the increase in people who wished to explore the dungeon, the Barracks, who mainly functioned as academy's support, was now functioning publicly.
Many aspiring explorers would come to join. They were originally from a neighborhood city, which migrated in the HCZ7.
Thus far, the HCZ7 was rising rapidly. But this rise of one city causes the other cities to be antagonistic.
After all, even though humans were in the era in which magical prowess was reality, still, humans were frail creatures. They could be tempted easily by the devil in the form of envy.
